Developed and maintained by Kebes, a PrestaShop Expert level 3 agency with more than 15 years developing for PrestaShop.
Some information does not belong in the description but customers look for it: how to wash it, the warranty, the size chart. With this module every PrestaShop product gets a custom tab for that.
We use it ourselves: the «Changelog» at the end of the veomod.com product pages is this tab.
How it works
- On the product page in the back office, Modules tab, there are two fields: the tab title and its content, with a visual editor.
- Title and content are per language.
- It is saved when you save the product, no extra steps.
- In the shop it shows as one more tab next to Description and Details. If a product has no content, it does not appear.
What it does not do
It is one tab per product. There are no global tabs for all products at once or per category.
Compatibility
PrestaShop 1.7.8, 8 and 9. It uses the standard product extra content hook, so it shows in any theme that supports it (Classic, Hummingbird and most others). No overrides.
Installation
Upload the ZIP from Modules > Module Manager, open a product, go to the Modules tab and write the title and content.
Frequently asked questions
Can I add images or tables?
Yes, the editor is the same as the product description: images, tables, links and lists.
Does Google read it?
Yes, the content is in the page HTML even when the tab is closed.
