A small module to install the Facebook Pixel in PrestaShop without editing the theme. No settings page with twenty options: the pixel ID and that is it.

What it sends to Meta

PageView on every page.
Purchase on the thank-you page, with the order value including tax, the currency, the products bought and the number of items.
The purchase carries the order reference as event ID, so Meta does not count it twice if the customer reloads the page.

What it does not do

It does not send add to cart or initiate checkout, and it does not use Meta's server-side Conversions API. It does not handle consent either: in Europe it must only load once the visitor accepts marketing cookies, with your cookie module.

Compatibility

PrestaShop 1.6, 1.7, 8 and 9; version 1.2.0 is tested on PrestaShop 9.2. No overrides.

Installation

Upload the ZIP from Modules > Module Manager, click «Configure» and paste the pixel ID (15 or 16 digits, from Meta's Events Manager).

Frequently asked questions

Where do I find the pixel ID?

In Meta Business Suite > Events Manager > Data sources. It is a long number; paste only that number, not the whole code.

How do I check it works?

With the Meta Pixel Helper extension for Chrome: you will see PageView on any page and, after a test order, Purchase with its value.
